From cybersecurity to the future of railways – the autumn meeting provided new perspectives
Yesterday, Swedtrain gathered for its autumn meeting! We started the day with lunch and a formal meeting where the business plan, budget and membership fees for 2026 were established. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to get to know our new member companies and take part in two highly topical lectures.
Patrik Sandgren from Teknikföretagen gave an eye-opening presentation on cybersecurity – why attacks happen, what risks we face and how we can strengthen our protection in an increasingly digitalized world. As Patrik put it: ”Sweden is a priority target and at the same time a smorgasbord for cyberattacks: very good research and industrial companies, very digitalized – and a naivety and underinvestment in security for a long time.”

Krister Sandberg from Trafikaanalys shared about the authority's assignments and analyses in the railway area, relevant for example to the Swedish Transport Administration's work for better cost control or the efficiency of freight transport in the railway system.

We ended the day with a nice mingle. Many thanks to all participants for a rewarding day filled with knowledge, networking and future discussions!
