Artex was founded in 1928 and has a history in industrial sewing. Today we have an engineering team with mechanical, textile, chemical, design and product development expertise working together with prototype manufacturers and textile craftsmen. The facilities are located in Sweden and Latvia. Staff of approximately 300 people. Artex designs, redesigns, manufactures, renovates and upgrades train interiors such as seats and sleeping compartments. Often in so-called mid-term refurbishment. But Artex also makes covers and other interior components. We are certified according to ISO-14001 and 9001. When you renovate a train with 10,000 seats with Artex renovation expertise, you save approximately 8 million euros and 600 tons of CO2eq compared to making new purchases. ARTEX also represents the Spanish / French company Compin FAINSA, which produces new seats and other interior fittings for trains.
